CLR received a new SBIR Phase I award on traffic sensoring (8/19/2014)

CLR Analytics Inc. received a new SBIR Phase I award titled "Traffic Surveillance System using Heterogeneous Sensor Technologies for National Park Service" from the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program of USDOT. The corresponding research topic is "14.1-FH5: Visually unobtrusive traffic monitoring for National Park Service Parkways".

Our team led by CH2M HIll won Caltrans District 12 Managed lanes Study (8/6/2014)

The Ch2M Hill team won the Caltrans District 12 Managed lanes Study (RFP#74A0738) on May 5, 2014. The team has three subs, System Metrics Group (SMG), AFSHA Consulting, and CLR. CLR's responsibility includes the modeling inputs for various tasks and the planning level toll demand and revenue analysis.

The project has started and the kickoff meeting was held on Aug 6, 2014.

We just moved to a new address, 8885 Research Dr. Suite 150, Irvine, CA 92618, located at the southern part of Irvine Spretrum business center, close to the I-5/I-405 interchange. Our new office has much bigger space and will allow us to conduct multiple practical, research and development projects at the same time.

Intern Position Avaiable (7/15/2014)

CLR Analytics Inc. has an intern position starting from mid July or August. The position may be converted to a permanent position if projects allow. The working location is Irvine, CA.

The required knowledge for an ideal candidate includes C/C++/C#  programming, javascript based website development, linux, database management, travel demand modeling, traffic simulation (Paramics, TransModeler, Vissim) experiences (network coding, calibration and applications), traffic data collection and processing, and traffic control.

CLR will work with RBF Team on OCTA's SR-91 PA/ED project (Aug 7, 2013)

OCTA EB SR-91 PA/ED between SR-57 and SR-55

The RBF team, with SMG and CLR Analytics as a modeling and simulation subcontractor, won OCTA's SR-91 PA/ED Project, in which CLR modelers will use the previously developed SR-91 TransModeler model to test different design scenarios for the project, which aims to prepare the project report and environmental document for the eastbound SR-91 between SR-57 and SR-55.

SMG-CLR team won LA Metro's I-405/I-5 HOV Direct Connector Project (July 2, 2013)

I-5 & I-405 Interchange in Los Angeles Area

The SMG team, with CLR Analytics and PacRim Engineering as subcontractors, won LA Metro's  I-405/I-5 HOV Direct Connector Project. In the project, CLR Analytics will provide simulation services to evaluate different alternatives of the HOV connector design at the interchange.

Paramics provides the best aerial photo solution for network coding (Jun 19, 2013)

Network coding is the first thing to do for a real-world microsimulation project. The network needs to be coded based on an aerial photos or background images. The traditional way is to obtain aerial photos from other sources (such as Google Earth Pro) and then load them into the simulation software. It is relatively time-consuming process to accurately load aerial photos, especially when there are multiple photos, which need to be loaded with the right scale and aligned with each other.
